Date Nut Balls

I made this recipe up to replace some overpriced date nut balls I found in a specialty store. I think mine are better. Remember, I don’t use measurements so go crazy and do what feels good to you. If you decide to use the Five Spice Powder, a little goes a long way. I would use far more cinnamon than I would FSP.

A word of warning…I just looked up the Trader Joe’s nuts online and it looks like they cost almost $30 for a 16 oz. bag! I haven’t made these in a long time so I had no idea the price was that high. You can sub walnuts or any kind of nuts you like I suppose. I like the variety the mixed nuts provide…but not at $30 a bag!

This recipe will satisfy even the sweetest of sweet teeth with no added sugar. All of the ingredients bring good nutrients to the recipe. They are, however,  very calorically dense so go easy on them. Have fun!
