One of my favorite guilty pleasures was watching ‘Lucifer’ on Netflix. I never watched it when it originally aired but once I found it, I was hooked…because you know, Tom Ellis.
I found the ‘Lucifer’ premise intriguing that we actually create our own version of hell from the regrets we still have when we die. Lucifer could always get into the psyche of anyone by asking one simple question…”what is it you desire?”
The late Dr. Wayne Dyer told us “don’t die with your music still in you.” So often we trudge through life, going through the motions of our daily routines. Napoleon Hill called this “hypnotic rhythm”.
In his book, “Outwitting the Devil”, Hill imagined an interview with the devil. He was able to persuade the devil to reveal his secret to success.
According to this summary, “Outwitting the Devil” had three lessons we should all heed:
- There are only two bases from which we build our entire lives…faith and fear.
- The devil’s goal is to make all humans aimless drifters and if we aren’t careful, he easily succeeds
- To achieve mental, spiritual and physical freedom, we must follow seven principles and escape the devil’s grasp
I really enjoyed this book and I recommend you read it for the thought provoking work that it is.
So what does this have to do with anything?
I have had a few experiences that made me painfully aware of my own mortality. I’ve seen contemporaries die much too soon. I’ve had my own brushes with serious illness. I’m not getting any younger. And there is so much I still want to do to leave this planet a better place.
I became a nutrition and health coach after my own health challenges. In the process of healing I discovered my passion in coaching. I also found another passion. I love to present topics related to women’s health to any size audience, either in person or virtually. Next to raising my children, nothing fulfills me more than watching my clients transform their health and their lives. I was my first client and I’m so grateful I found my way back to health and vibrant living. I wish that for everyone.
What is it that you desire? Is it vibrant health? Do you want more energy? Is your weight a little (or a lot) higher than you’d like? Has your doctor told you the next step for you is medication for something that we can manage through lifestyle and nutrition? If so, let’s chat.
As a health coach, I work with women who are facing serious health challenges like heart disease, metabolic syndrome and diabetes or who have been diagnosed as having a precursor to a serious health issue such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol or high blood sugar. I help them make food and lifestyle changes so they can get healthy, live longer and enjoy a fuller, happier, more energetic life.
