Not Tuna Salad (Adapted from Forks Over Knives)

  • 1 can chickpeas rinsed and drained
  • 3 Tbsp tahini
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 Tbsp maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup diced onion
  • 1/4 cup diced celery
  • 1/4 cup diced pickle
  • 1 tsp capers drained and chopped
  • sea salt and pepper to taste


  • In a bowl, mash chickpeas with a fork
  • add remaining ingredients and mix
  • can be used as you would on a sandwich or over a crisp green salad
